Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is a 2014 fighting game developed by Bandai Namco Studios and Sora Ltd. and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. It is the fourth game in the Super Smash Bros. franchise, along with its counterpart, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, released a few months later. The gameplay aims for a balance between Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It is also notable for being the first game in the series to feature additional fighters and stages as downloadable content; DLC continued to be released periodically until early 2016. The game was played on The D-Pad upon its release. The LP consisted of 16 episodes, released on weekdays from October 3 to November 21, 2014.

The game was revisited on the channel in 2020, as the thirty-fifth game in The Dreamy Let's Play. The LP began on September 24, 2020.

Trivia

  • As Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS was not played on the channel after the release of its Wii U counterpart, the DLC was never covered upon its initial release. The 2020 LP opens with a "First Blood DLC Edition" episode to reflect this.
