Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is a 2014 platform game developed by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo for the Wii U. It is the fifth game in the Donkey Kong Country series, and follows the Kong family as they attempt to save Donkey Kong Island from the Snowmads, who have frozen it over. The 2018 Nintendo Switch port of the game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2025, as the sixth and final game in Donkeython Returns. The episode was streamed live on the dpadfm Twitch account before being uploaded to YouTube on February 14, 2025.
