Sonic Week is the first Let's Play series created by The D-Pad, consisting of the first LPs the group ever recorded. Created as a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, the project was to consist of five games: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog CD, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles and Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I. However, due to an unforeseen error, Sonic 4: Episode I was abandoned after less than ten minutes and quickly replaced with Knuckles' Chaotix. The LPs were originally uploaded to The D-Pad's then-website, dpadup.com, in 6 large videos (Sonic 3 & Knuckles was split in two) starting with the original game on June 20, 2011 and concluding with Chaotix on June 25. After the creation of The D-Pad YouTube channel, the LPs of Sonic Week were split into shorter video segments and reuploaded, beginning on August 15, 2011 and ending on November 4, 2011, for a total of 55 episodes.

The channel would go on to revisit the original Sonic the Hedgehog in 2014 for a D-Pad Rivals series, and the entire franchise in 2016 for a far more comprehensive project known as The Super Sonic Let's Play.
