Pokémon Ultra Sun is a 2017 role-playing developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company for the Nintendo 3DS. It is one half of a pair of games, the other being Pokémon Ultra Moon; they are updated versions of Pokémon Sun and Moon, and together make up the second pair of main series games in the seventh generation of Pokémon. The game was played by The D-Pad in 2017; unlike previous Pokémon playthroughs on the channel, it is not part of Pokémon Rivals or even a Nuzlocke, due to the channel having already spent a year playing the original Sun and Moon in this format. The playthrough commenced on November 20, 2017.

---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | "New People Already" | 18:39 | Ben | Rick, John, Lindsay | 20 November 2017 |
Ben starts off the game by naming his character Trindle and watching the opening cutscenes. Once he has control of the game, he leaves his house and heads down Route 1, where he runs into a wild Yungoos and is defended by the three starter Pokémon. Professor Kukui appears and allows him to pick a starter; he chooses Popplio, and names it Bwump. He continues along Route 1, fighting a wild Yungoos, picking up an item, and eventually encountering Hau, who picks Litten as his starter and challenges him to a battle. He defeats Hau easily, watches some more cutscenes, and heads towards Iki Town. | |||||
2 | "I'm Really Good at Fighting Babies" | 17:53 | Ben | Rick, John, Lindsay | 22 November 2017 |
Ben reaches Iki Town, explores a little, then leaves and heads up the Mahalo Trail, where he finds Lillie and Nebby, who is being attacked by wild Spearow. He fights and defeats one of them, then heads to the middle of the bridge, which collapses. After being saved by Tapu Koko, they all return to Iki Town. There, he is given a Pokédex and a Trainer Passport. He is returned to his house, where Kukui appears and leads him outside to give him the Pokémon catching tutorial, much to the group's annoyance. After this, Ben receives some Poké Balls, and catches a Grubbin in the tall grass; he nicknames it Stuggy Mack. | |||||
3 | "Electric Magoobaloo" | 22:02 | Ben | Rick, John, Lindsay, Sarah | 22 November 2017 |
Ben runs across a wild Buneary and catches it, naming it Magoompers. He continues to explore Route 1, fighting a few low-level trainers along the way. He finds a Rockruff standing around, and plays with it for a while before moving on. He runs into a pair of mysterious characters, and the group theorize on the logic behind releasing Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. He also catches a wild Yungoos and names it Goo Father. Arriving back at Iki Town, he battles against Hau for a second time as part of the festival, again defeating him without much trouble. Afterwards, Hala gives him the Z-Power Ring, and some more cutscenes ensue, after which Ben ends up back at his character's house. |
