Sonic Mania Adventures is a 2018 animated web series directed and written by Tyson Hesse. It is based on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, and serves as a promotional series for Sonic Mania Plus, with the series using the same art style and lack of dialogue as the opening cutscene of the original Sonic Mania. The plot follows immediately from the end of Sonic Forces, as Classic Sonic returns to his own dimension and immediately begins attempting to stop Dr. Eggman, who has launched yet another scheme. The series ran for five episodes on an irregular schedule from March to July 2018, culminating in the release of Sonic Mania Plus. A sixth episode serving as a Christmas special was released in December of the same year. The series was covered on The D-Pad upon its release, as part of The Super Sonic Let's Play. A series of D-Pad + Chill episodes reacting to the show were released from April 4 to December 25, 2018.
