Tecmo Super Bowl is a 1991 football game developed and published by Tecmo for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It was notable for being the first sports game with an NFL license, allowing it to use the names and stats of real NFL teams and players. The game's popularity has continued far past its initial release, and to this day modified ROMs are released with updated modern rosters. These ROMs have been "played" by The D-Pad six times, in an annual featured called Let's Predict the Super Bowl, where they simulate the upcoming Super Bowl by staging an AI vs. AI match with the competing teams and players.
