The D-Pad was a 2013-14 weekly hour-long web radio show created by Rick Desilets, broadcast live from The Dojo, studio space rented by John Selig where the team produced their Let's Play videos from 2013-2014. It was hosted by Rick, John, and C/J Haley, with frequent apperances by Dustin Deren, Felice Lopez, and Meg Zaremba, and saw the team talk about news in the world of video games and nerdy topics alike. The episodes were broadcast live using Mixlr, with a widget added to dpad.fm to let listeners tune in there as well, premiering on September 5, 2013 and continuing the weekly schedule and format of its previous iteration. It was a live web radio broadcast and ran for 27 episodes, airing Thursday nights at 10pm eastern until April 3, 2014, when the show held its final episode, on the 3rd anniversary of its inception, to focus on creating Let's Plays, building up the channel, and seeking a meaningful way to revive the show on YouTube.
On April 3, 2016, the team brought back the show for a one-off special to celebrate the show's 5th anniversary, with Ben Mooney joining alongside Rick, John, and C/J.
This third season of the overall D-Pad podcast was broadcast through Mixlr, and unlike the previous two seasons, the episodes were not re-uploaded to dpadup.com, as Podsmiths was shutting its doors, and had owned the original website. Instead, these episodes remain on Mixlr for continued on-demand listening.
