Spider-Man 2 is a 2004 superhero film directed by Sam Raimi and written by Alvin Sargent. It stars Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Alfred Molina, Rosemary Harris, and Donna Murphy. It is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, and is the second film in the Spider-Man trilogy and a sequel to Spider-Man. Set two years after the events of the first film, the plot follows Peter Parker struggling to balance his civilian life with his duties as Spider-Man, while New York is threatened by the scientist Otto Octavius, who becomes the villain Doctor Octopus after an experiment gone wrong. The film was reviewed on The D-Pad in 2021 in an episode of R-Rated. The episode was released on December 7, 2021.
