Eternals is a 2021 superhero film directed by Chloé Zhao and written by Zhao and Patrick Burleigh. It stars Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Harish Patel, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie. It is based on the Marvel Comics team the Eternals, and is the twenty-sixth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The story centers on the titular Eternals, a race of immortal aliens that have secretly lived on Earth for thousands of years, as they attempt to protect humanity from the evil Deviants. The film was covered on The D-Pad throughout its release cycle, with an episode of The D-Pad Reacts covering the film's first trailer released on May 24, 2021, followed by an R-Rated episode reviewing the film on November 30, 2021.
