Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a 2022 superhero film directed by Sam Raimi and written by Michael Waldron. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. It is based on the Marvel Comics character Doctor Strange, and is the second film in the Doctor Strange series, a sequel to Doctor Strange, and the twenty-eighth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Set after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the film follows Doctor Strange as he attempts to protect multiverse-travelling teenager America Chavez from Wanda Maximoff, who desires Chavez's powers to reunite with her children. The film was reviewed on The D-Pad upon its release in an episode of R-Rated, released on May 8, 2022.
