Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a 2020 hack and slash game developed by Koei Tecmo and Omega Force and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is a spin-off in the Legend of Zelda franchise, inspired by Koei's Dynasty Warriors series, and a sequel to the 2014 game Hyrule Warriors. The game's plot, set 100 years before The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, depicts in full the "Great Calamity" mentioned in that game. The game was covered on The D-Pad before its release, in an episode of The D-Pad Reacts focusing on its announcement trailer. The episode was released on September 8, 2020. The game was then covered with in full upon its release, as the seventeenth weekday game in The Legendary Let's Play: A Terrible Fate, and the forty-fifth game in The Legendary Let's Play overall. The LP began on November 23, 2020.

Trivia
- Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was announced unexpectedly only two months prior to its release. At the time, The Legendary Let's Play was nearing completion after over seven years, with only the three Philips CD-i games and the then-upcoming "Symphony of the Mask" DLC for Cadence of Hyrule left to be completed. Age of Calamity's announcement significantly extended the planned run of the Franchise Play.
