Final Fantasy VII is a 1997 role-playing game developed by Square and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation. It is the seventh main numbered title in the Final Fantasy series, and the first to be released for a fifth-generation console with 3D graphics. The story follows mercenary Cloud Strife, who joins the eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE in order to bring down the megacorporation Shinra. It is one of the twenty PlayStation games included in the PlayStation Classic dedicated console. This version of the game was played on The D-Pad in 2021, as the twentieth and final game in their PlayStation Classic series, and the only one to receive a full LP. The LP began on January 2, 2021.
