Grand Theft Auto is a 1998 action-adventure game developed by DMA Design and published by Take-Two Interactive for the PlayStation. It is the first game in the Grand Theft Auto series. The player carries out a series of missions for various criminal syndicates in a top-down open-world environment. It is one of the twenty PlayStation games included in the PlayStation Classic dedicated console. This version of the game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2020, as the fifteenth game in their PlayStation Classic series. The episode was released on December 23, 2020.
