The game was played by The D-Pad upon its release in 2016, as the eighth game in The Dreamy Let's Play. Trivia

• Kirby: Planet Robobot was the first brand new Kirby game to be played out-of-order in The Dreamy Let's Play.
• The five "lost episodes" were the original attempt at recording episodes 6 through 10 of the LP. They were lost and thought to be unrecoverable, leading to them being re-recorded, only for Rick to subsequently retrieve them and upload them as bonus content for the LP.
• Part 14, Gordopult, starts with Ben patting Tonka on camera.
