Battle Arena Toshinden is a 1995 fighting game developed by Tamsoft and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation. The first game in the Battle Arena Toshinden series, it is one of the first fighting games to be set in a 3D environment. The story follows eight traveling fighters who enter a mysterious tournament, each of them for different reasons. It is one of the twenty PlayStation games included in the PlayStation Classic dedicated console. This version of the game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2020, as the nineteenth game in their PlayStation Classic series. The episode was released on December 30, 2020.
