Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards is a 2000 platform game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the NIntendo 64. It is part of the Kirby franchise, and the third and final game in the Dark Matter trilogy. This is the first 2.5D game in the franchise. The animal companions from the Dream Land games are gone, but in their place, this game allows you to combine two powers for a different, and usually more powerful, effect. The game was played by The D-Pad in 2016, continuing into 2017, as the fifteenth game in The Dreamy Let's Play. The LP consisted of 21 episodes; it began on December 8, 2016, and concluded on January 5, 2017.
