Super Smash Bros. Melee is a 2001 fighting game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the GameCube. It is the second game in the Super Smash Bros. series. A significant expansion on its predecessor, Super Smash Bros., the game features many additional fighters, stages, and game modes, with both singleplayer and multiplayer options. The game was played on The D-Pad in 2017, as the seventeenth game in The Dreamy Let's Play and the twenty-second game in You Do It. The LP consisted of 47 episodes; 37 covering the main game released on weekdays from December 25, 2017 to February 27, 2018, and 10 further episodes covering 100% completion released from October 12, 2022 to October 9, 2023.

Trivia

• Super Smash Bros. Melee was the first game played in Return to the Dreamy Let's Play, the second part of The Dreamy Let's Play, bringing the series back from a nine month hiatus.
• The first episode of the series was uploaded as one of the channel's 2017 Christmas specials, and therefore used a modified version of the usual thumbnail.
• Episode "34.5" is a bonus video covering Rick, John and Ben's attempts to kill themselves as quickly as possible while playing Captain Falcon in order to increase the number of overall VS matches played for an in-game unlock. It was not originally intended for release, but Rick decided the footage was funny enough to deserve an upload.
