Pokémon LeafGreen Version is a 2004 role-playing game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance. Is is part of the third generation of the Pokémon franchise, and one half of a pair of games with Pokémon FireRed Version. The two games are remakes of the 1998 Game Boy games Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Blue Version, following the same plot and basic gameplay while updating the mechanics to those of the third generation, and adding several entirely new areas. The game was played by John on The D-Pad in a Nuzlocke challenge in 2014, as one half of the "zeroth" installment of Pokémon Rivals, FireRed vs. LeafGreen. The LP consisted of 95 episodes, released on weekdays from December 2, 2014 to May 22, 2015.

• The Pokémon LeafGreen Version LP was originally intended to start in 2012, concurrently with Rick's FireRed LP. However, it ultimately did not begin until late 2014, almost two years after the FireRed LP went on hiatus after the completion of its sixth chapter. The LeafGreen LP itself went on hiatus after 40 episodes, partway through the fourth chapter, to allow Rick to return to FireRed and complete his final three chapters. LeafGreen returned immediately after this with the remainder of John's LP.
