The Ultimate Wii U is a series of LPs created by The D-Pad in 2024, focusing on the titular Nintendo console. The Wii U, released in 2012, was Nintendo's sixth and least successful major home console; due to low sales, comparatively few games were released for it, and the majority of those that were were later ported to its successor console, the Nintendo Switch, often in slightly updated versions. This left a relatively small number of remaining Wii U exclusives, 25 of which were released outside of Japan and are still playable. The series covers each of the games with a single one-off episode. It is the seventh in a series of annual projects covering specific consoles, preceded by Sega Genesis Mini 2, though it was delayed a full year from its originally-intended late 2023 launch date. The series ultimately began on November 28, 2024. As of December 2, 2024, 6 episodes have been released.
