Super Mario Odyssey is a 2017 platform game developed by Nintendo EPD and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is part of the Super Mario series within the larger Mario franchise, and features a return to the gameplay style of earlier games in the series such as Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, as well as a unique mechanic that allows Mario to take control of enemies and other objects using his hat. The game was played by The D-Pad in 2017; the series debuted on October 30, 2017. The main storyline was completed after 46 episodes, but the playthrough continued with postgame content following this.
