Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a 2010 platform game developed by Nintendo EAD Tokyo and published by Nintendo for the Wii. It is part of the Super Mario series within the larger Mario franchise, and a sequel to Super Mario Galaxy. The game was played on The D-Pad in 2020, with Rick attempting a 100% speedrun of the game in 24 hours as a celebration of the channel's ninth anniversary. Originally streamed live on the dpadfm Twitch account from June 19-20, 2020, the attempted was later edited into three large episodes and uploaded to YouTube beginning on June 22, 2020.
