Pokémon Brilliant Diamond is a 2021 role-playing game developed by ILCA and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for the Nintendo Switch. It is part of the eighth generation of the Pokémon franchise, and one half of a pair of games with Pokémon Shining Pearl. The two games are remakes of the 2007 Nintendo DS games Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version. The retell the same plot as the original games, and their gameplay is also similar, albeit with new mechanics from more recent games in the series, a reimagined Sinnoh Underground, and a new area named Ramanas Park replacing the Pal Park. The game was played on Rick on The D-Pad in a Nuzlocke challenge upon its release, as one half of the sixth installment of Pokémon Rivals, Brilliant Diamond vs. Shining Pearl. The LP began on December 14, 2021.
