Eternals is an upcoming 2021 superhero film directed by Chloé Zhao and written by Zhao and Patrick Burleigh. It stars Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Gil Birmingham, Harish Patel, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie. It is based on the Marvel Comics team the Eternals, and is the twenty-sixth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The story centers on the titular Eternals, a race of immortal aliens that have secretly lived on Earth for thousands of years, as they attempt to protect humanity from the evil Deviants. The film's first trailer was covered on The D-Pad before its release in an episode of The D-Pad Reacts, released on May 24, 2021.
