Thor: Love and Thunder is an upcoming superhero film directed by Taika Waititi and written by Waititi and Jennifer Kaylin Robinson. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Jaimie Alexander, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, and Christian Bale. It is based on the Marvel Comics character Thor, and is the fourth film in the Thor series, a sequel to Thor: Ragnarok, and the twenty-ninth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The plot, set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, features Thor coming out of retirement and recruiting his allies, including the new Mighty Thor, Jane Foster, in order to defeat Gorr the God Butcher. The film's first trailer was covered on The D-Pad before the film's release in an episode of The D-Pad Reacts, released on April 18, 2022.
