Pokémon Rivals: HeartGold vs. SoulSilver is the seventh official installment of Pokémon Rivals, and eighth overall. It is played using the 2010 Nintendo DS games Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version, remakes of the 2000 Game Boy Color games Pokémon Gold Version and Pokémon Silver Version, and part of the fourth generation of the franchise. As the winner of the previous Padlocke, Brilliant Diamond vs. Shining Pearl, Rick began with HeartGold on November 18, 2024, followed by John with SoulSilver on March 17, 2025. As of March 31, 2025, 17 episodes of the series have been released; 6 of HeartGold, 11 of SoulSilver, and 0 faceoffs.
