Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 is a 1994 platform game developed by Nintendo R&D1 and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy. It is both the third and final game in the Super Mario Land series and the first game in the Wario Land series. It features the return of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins antagonist Wario, here as the playable character, as he attempts to fund his own castle by stealing treasure from Captain Syrup and her pirates. The gameplay differs significantly from the previous games in the series, with Wario having different moves and powerups than Mario. The game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2022, as the third game in Super Mario/Wariothon. The episode was streamed live on the YouTube channel as part of the first day of the marathon before being uploaded as a separate episode on January 7, 2022.
