Nintendo Land is a 2012 party game developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo for the Wii U, as a launch title for the console. It contains twelve separate minigames, each one based on a different Nintendo property. One of these minigames, The Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest, was played on The D-Pad in 2013, as the third weekday game in The Legendary Let's Play, and the sixth game in the series overall. The LP began on November 11, 2013, and concluded on November 23, 2013, after 10 episodes.

In 2020, the LP was revisited on the channel during The Legendary Let's Play: A Terrible Fate, covering bonus levels not tackled in the original episodes. The LP returned on August 3, 2020.

Trivia

  • Battle Quest was originally played on the channel to fill the weekday schedule for two weeks between the completion of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and the release of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
    • Ironically, in 2020 the Soulcalibur II LP was partly created to fill time in the schedule before the return of Battle Quest.
  • Unlike most series on the channel, Battle Quest had a clearly defined episode structure, where each video would cover a single level, regardless of how much time or how many attempts it took to complete it.
  • The ninth level took so long to complete that the episode that featured it was edited significantly. The bonus "episode 9.5" is actually the uncut version of episode 9.
  • The gap between episode 9.5 and episode 10 is 6 years, 8 months, and 11 days, making it the longest gap between two episodes of the same series on the channel by a considerable margin.
