|ShortSummary = After dealing with some technical issues, the group begin the intended final game of ''Sonic Week'' - ''Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I''. Rick enters the first act of Splash Hill Zone, but is confronted with frame rate issues (none of which are visible on the video itself) that make the game nearly unplayable. He completes the act, then gives up on the game, changing to ''Knuckles' Chaotix'' instead. Rick plays through some of the opening area and enters Practice Mode, a tutorial, but decides to exit it before learning all of the controls.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I is a 2010 platform game developed by Dimps and Sonic Team and published by Sega. It is part of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, and was intended as a throwback title to the original Sonic games on the Sega Genesis. As such, the story begins immediately after the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles, and the gameplay returns to the classic side-scrolling style. The Wii version of the game was briefly played by The D-Pad in 2011, as the fifth game in Sonic Week. It was intended to close the series, but a serious frame rate error resulted in the LP being abandoned after a single level and replaced with Knuckles' Chaotix. The failed LP was released on The D-Pad's then-website, dpadup.com, as part of the Knuckles' Chaotix episode, on June 25, 2011. Later, it was uploaded to The D-Pad's YouTube channel on October 14, 2011, as part of the re-edited version of the Knuckles' Chaotix LP.
