Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! is a 2018 role-playing game developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is part of the seventh generation of the Pokémon franchise, and one half of a pair of games with Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!. The two games are remakes of the 1999 game Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition. The game was played by John on The D-Pad in 2018, as one half of the fifth installment of Pokémon Rivals, with Rick playing Let's Go, Eevee!. Due to the differences between Let's Go and the rest of the Pokémon series, a somewhat modified version of the normal Padlocke rules was used. Some episodes were recorded separately by John at his home in California, as part of The Joystick. The LP began on November 19, 2018.
