The Dreamy Let's Play is a Franchise Play that attempts to cover every single game in the Kirby franchise, as well as the tangentially-connected Super Smash Bros. franchise. The series was announced on March 22, 2016 as a replacement for The Fright Before Christmas and premiered just two days later. Unlike the two previous Franchise Plays on the channel, The Dreamy Let's Play featured no weekend videos, with the schedule being simply a video every weekday, playing the games in order of release date. Exceptions to this rule were made for major new releases such as Kirby: Planet Robobot and Kirby Star Allies, which were played immediately on release. The live-action intros exploring the history of each game in the franchise from The Mega Let's Play returned, but the outros did not. Following the completion of Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble on March 3, 2017, The Dreamy Let's Play was put on hiatus in order to free up space in the channel's schedule for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Episodes resumed on Christmas Day of that year, under the name Return to the Dreamy Let's Play. As of March 21, 2018, 19 games (17 Kirby and 2 Super Smash Bros.) have been played as part of the project, and a total of 280 episodes have been released.
