After finishing Mega Man Battle Network 4: Red Sun, Rick connects the game to Mega Man Zero 3, allowing the use of the Z-Saber as a chip in-game, which he briefly demonstrates. In a live-action intro, Rick and John introduce Zero 3, discussing its plot as well as new and changed gameplay mechanics compared to previous Zero games. After John expresses his relief that the game isn't an RPG, Rick suggests that he play it to start off. In-game, the two watch the opening cutscenes before John begins playing the intro stage. He reaches a brief cutscene where Harpuia appears, and later another one which introduces Omega. John narrowly defeats Omega in a boss fight, and Harpuia appears again to finish him, but they are interrupted by the arrival of Dr. Weil and Copy X. The group leave, and Zero is transported back to the base. | ||||||
