In-game, using a partial English translation patch from 2012, Rick explains to Ben that they won't actually be able to use it due to the nature of playing the game on the RetroN, then begins, entering his character name as "feSesgh". He chooses to play as StarMan, who is unlocked on the Navi select screen, possibly due to a bug. Entering the actual game, he moves through an area of the internet, fighting several random battles, but getting confused by the text, much of which is still in Japanese. He ends up accidentally entering the "Everyday Tournament", the first round of which puts him against NumberMan. He quickly loses, and goes back to exploring, eventually running into NumberMan outside of the tournament, who makes him answer a series of simple math questions before he can progress. He passes the test, and continues further into the internet.
