Something Remote is a 2009 independent comedy film directed by Alex Laferriere and released by Broken Wall Films, starring C/J Haley, Rick Desilets, John Selig, Rebecca Davis, Sal Neslusan, and Matt Heron-Duranti. The main story thread, "Three Guys on a Couch", follows the efforts of three TV-addicted roommates trying to avoid an ex-girlfriend stalking them. Interspersed throughout are a number of sketches presented as TV shows and ads the trio are watching. It is notable for its cast and crew featuring a large number of future members of The D-Pad, two years before either the podcast or the YouTube channel existed. In celebration of the film's tenth anniversary, its theatrical cut was re-released on the YouTube channel on January 9, 2019, followed by a blooper reel on January 12, 2019. It was then retrospectively covered by The D-Pad, as the sixth installment of Movie Nights at the Roundtable. A review was released on January 13, 2019.
