Ben Mooney, often referred to as Internet Personality Ben Mooney in his early years on the channel, is a member of The D-Pad. He made his first appearance on the channel in late 2013 during The Legendary Let's Play, and quickly went on to become one of the most frequently-appearing hosts. He is part of the current "core" of The D-Pad, along with Rick, Sarah, and Geoff.

Ben is known for losing patience with games far quicker than other members on the channel, often referring to them as "bullshit", and for the distinctive "Ben laugh" he exhibits when very amused. He takes a somewhat less active role in the channel than other core members, rarely taking control of a game during an LP and preferring to remain in a commentary-only role. However, he has taken center stage for a few games, notably his blind LPs of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and Chrono Trigger in 2017 and 2018, and a series of Dark Souls III livestreams in 2016.

Ben has a central role in the channel's metaplot, starring as three different versions of himself: the "regular" Ben, an evil version of Ben who serves as the main antagonist of the story, and a third Ben who lives in the "feetless" dimension. He is credited as a writer on Seriesly, and performed the closing song for the Goldfinger episode and played "maracaroni" on the closing song for the Thunderball episode, the latter as a part of Full Heart Laser Sword.
