Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is an upcoming 2021 superhero film directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by David Callaham, Cretton, and Andrew Lanham. It stars Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Fala Chen, Meng'er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, Ronny Chieng, and Michelle Yeoh. It is based on the Marvel Comics character Shang-Chi, and is the twenty-fifth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The story follows Shang-Chi, a skilled martial artist who was trained as an assassin by the Ten Rings organization but is now trying to live a normal life in San Francisco, as he is drawn back into his old life. The film's first trailer was covered on The D-Pad before its release in an episode of The D-Pad Reacts, released on April 19, 2021.
