Kingdom Hearts χ is a 2013 role-playing game developed by Square Enix, Success, and BitGroove and published by Square Enix for PC. It is part of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, serving as a prequel to the entire series. Set centuries before the Keyblade War described in earlier games, the player controls a Keyblade wielder in an era when five different factions compete for control of the limited light in the world. The game was released exclusively in Japan and was discontinued in 2016, but fan translations of its cutscenes remain available on YouTube. These cutscenes were covered on The D-Pad in 2023, as part of The Heartless Let's Play. A D-Pad + Chill episode reacting to the cutscenes was released on October 14, 2023.
