Team Sonic Racing Overdrive is a 2019 animated web series directed and written by Tyson Hesse. It is based on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, and serves as a promotional series for Team Sonic Racing, similar to the 2018 series Sonic Mania Adventures, which promoted Sonic Mania Plus. Based loosely on the game, the plot follows three teams racing against each other while Dr. Eggman attempts to sabotage them. The series ran for two episodes from March to April 2019, shortly before the release of Team Sonic Racing. The series was covered on The D-Pad upon its release, as part of The Super Sonic Let's Play. A series of D-Pad + Chill episodes reacting to the show were released from April 27 to April 28, 2019.
