Kirby Star Allies is a 2018 action-platform game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is part of the Kirby franchise. The plot follows Kirby as he attempts to prevent the priest Hyness from reviving a dark force that would threaten the universe. The game features the return of the four-player co-op from Kirby's Return to Dream Land, and the ability to fuse Kirby's abilities with those of his allies, reminiscent of the combined abilities from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. The game was played on The D-Pad upon its release, as the nineteenth game in The Dreamy Let's Play. The LP consisted of 31 episodes; 22 covering the main game released from March 21 to May 4, 2018, a bonus episode covering a short amount of postgame content released on May 15, 2018, and 8 further episodes covering the remainder of the bonus modes released from March 1 to March 8, 2022.
