Banjo-Kazooie is a 1998 platform game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. It is the first game in the Banjo-Kazooie series. The player controls the titular Banjo and Kazooie, a bear and bird trying to save Banjo's sister from the evil witch Gruntilda. Inspired by Super Mario 64, its gameplay is based on 3D platforming in large nonlinear levels, with a heavy focus on finding hidden collectibles. The game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2023, as the second and final game in The D-Pad 12th Anniversary Marathon Stream. The episode was streamed live on the dpadfm Twitch account before being uploaded to YouTube on April 16, 2023.
