Steamboat Willie is a 1928 animated short film written and directed by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. It stars Walt Disney as the voices of all characters. It is one of the first cartoons to feature synchronized sound, and the first officially released short to feature the character of Mickey Mouse, along with Minnie Mouse and Pete. The film was released in full on The D-Pad on January 1, 2024, to celebrate its entry into the public domain after 95 years of release.
