Nidhogg is a 2014 fighting game developed and published by Messhof for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC. Two players battle with swords and fists in a side-scrolling pixellated arena in an attempt to reach the end of the other player's side. The victor is eaten by the titular mythological Norse serpent. The PlayStation 4 version of the game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2021, as the first event in The Ist Games, representing the sport of fencing. The episode was released on July 24, 2021.
