Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles is a 1994 platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by SEGA for the Sega Genesis. The third major game in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, it is actually a combination of two separate games that were developed at the same time using lock-on technology - Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles. The combined Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles has been played twice by The D-Pad - once in 2011, as the 4th game of Sonic Week and again in 2016 as the 18th game in The Super Sonic Let's Play.

* The Sonic Week LP of the game labels the two halves of the series as Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, and numbers them as if they were two separate games. Despite this, the LP is of the combined version, and not the two individual games.

This page is about the combined game using Lock-On Technology. For the individual games when not locked-on, see Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles.
