After watching the game's opening cutscenes and skipping the credits, John takes control, moving through the town of Narshe with "??????", Vicks and Wedge in Magitek Armor. He makes quick work of all the enemies, and enters the mines, where he fights the first boss, Whelk. After more cutscenes, John ends up with control of Terra on her own, although he renames her "BINGO". He heads through another section of the caves of Narshe and eventually gets cornered by enemies. Another cutscene introduces Locke, who John names "JENGA". He ends up controlling Locke and a number of Moogles in a battle against a number of advancing enemies in a cave; he heads to fight their leader with one of his three parties, but is wiped out and has to try again, using Mog's dance ability to defeat the boss. After one more cutscene, the group decide to move on to the final game on the SNES Classic.
