The Amazing Spider-Man is a 2012 superhero film directed by Marc Webb and written by James Vanderbilt, Alvin Sargent, and Steve Kloves. It stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. It is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, and is the first of the two The Amazing Spider-Man films, a reboot of the Spider-Man trilogy. The plot retells the origin story of Peter Parker, who becomes the hero Spider-Man and must defend New York from the plans of the reptilian villain Lizard. The film was reviewed on The D-Pad in 2021 in an episode of R-Rated. The episode was released on December 11, 2021.
