Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles is a 1994 platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by SEGA for the Sega Genesis. The third major game in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, it is actually a combination of two separate games that were developed at the same time using "lock-on technology" - Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles. The combined Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles has been played twice by The D-Pad - once in 2011, as the 4th game of Sonic Week and again in 2016 as the 18th game in The Super Sonic Let's Play.

• The Sonic Week LP of the game labels the two halves of the series as Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, and numbers them as if they were two separate games. Despite this, the LP is of the combined version, and not the two individual games.
