Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric is a 2014 action-platform game developed by Big Red Button and published by Sega for the Wii U. It is the first game in the Sonic Boom series, a reboot of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The player controls Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy as they work to defeat the ancient being Lyric, who plans to destroy all organic life. The game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2024, as the eighteenth game in The Ultimate Wii U. The episode was released on December 18, 2024.
