Spider-Man: Homecoming is a 2017 superhero film directed by Jon Watts and written by Jonathan Goldstein, John Francis Daley, Watts, Christopher Ford, Chris McKenna, and Erik Sommers. It stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Gwyneth Paltrow, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Bokeem Woodbine, Tyne Daly, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr. It is based on the Marvel comics character Spider-Man, and is the first film in the second rebooted Spider-Man series and the sixteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The plot follows Peter Parker as he attempts to balance his high school life with his duties as Spider-Man while battling against the Vulture. The film was reviewed on The D-Pad upon its release, in the fifth episode of D-Pad Reviews, released on July 14, 2017. It was later reviewed a second time on the channel in an episode of R-Rated, released on December 18, 2021.
