Thor: Love and Thunder is a 2022 superhero film directed by Taika Waititi and written by Waititi and Jennifer Kaylin Robinson. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Jaimie Alexander, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, and Christian Bale. It is based on the Marvel Comics character Thor, and is the fourth film in the Thor series, a sequel to Thor: Ragnarok, and the twenty-ninth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The plot, set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, features Thor coming out of retirement and recruiting his allies, including the new Mighty Thor, Jane Foster, in order to defeat Gorr the God Butcher. The film was covered on The D-Pad throughout its release cycle, with an episode of The D-Pad Reacts covering the film's first trailer released on April 18, 2022, followed by an R-Rated episode reviewing the film on October 20, 2022.
