Astro's Playroom is a 2020 platform game developed by Team Asobi and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 5. A free tech demo that comes pre-installed with the console, it is a sequel to Astro Bot Rescue Mission. The player controls the titular robot in a series of 3D platforming-based levels inspired by various aspects of the PlayStation series, with many hidden collectibles referencing the history of the various consoles. The game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode 2020, as part of the channel's unboxing of the then-new PlayStation 5, along with Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The episode was released on November 16, 2020.
The game was revisited on The D-Pad in 2024, as a full LP picking up where the unboxing video left off. The Astro's Playroom segment of the unboxing video was excerpted and re-uploaded as the first episode of the new LP. The LP began on September 9, 2024.
