|ShortSummary = In a live-action intro, Rick convinces John that X8 is an improvement over the previous entries in the series, explaining the game's plot and gameplay changes from X7. In the game itself, John starts up a new file and watches the opening cutscene. He then is sent straight to Noah's Park, the intro stage to the game. Controlling X and Axl, with a tag-team option to switch between them, John plays through the stage and defeats a boss, after which X leaves. Left with only Axl to play as, John dies a few times in the latter area of the stage, blaming the unresponsive controller for his performance. Rick tries it out and similarly dies, resulting in a game over. As they had not created a save file yet, they are sent back to the title screen. | |ShortSummary = In a live-action intro, Rick convinces John that X8 is an improvement over the previous entries in the series, explaining the game's plot and gameplay changes from X7. |ShortSummary = John takes another attempt at the intro stage from the beginning, using a better controller than before. He gets back to where he was before without too much trouble, then moves further into the stage. Zero appears to team up with Axl. After another section of level including a second battle with the boss from earlier, Axl leaves, leaving Zero alone. A short while later, X reappears for the final stretch of the level. John makes his way through it, eventually reaching the end, and a third battle against the spider boss. After failing several times, John is able to defeat it, finally completing the intro stage. He returns to base, where he is presented with a choice of the game's eight Maverick levels. | |ShortSummary = John takes another attempt at the intro stage from the beginning, using a better controller than before. |ShortSummary = The group reveal that offscreen, John had played through some of Bamboo Pandamonium's stage, but died several times, and that the footage was lost. Rick attempts the level, making his way through it with some difficulties, and eventually reaching the boss. He dies several times, receiving a game over, and is forced to restart the stage from the beginning. This next attempt starts off well, but Rick quickly manages to die a few more times, leaving him with only a single life to face the boss. He gets there and manages to deplete about half of Bamboo Pandamonium's health bar, but has some trouble dealing with the boss's attacks, the range of which is far greater than it appears to be, and is ultimately killed. | |ShortSummary = The group reveal that offscreen, John had played through some of Bamboo Pandamonium's stage, but died several times, and that the footage was lost. |ShortSummary = On the level select screen, Rick is interrupted by an "intermission" stage at Noah's Park, despite not having beaten any of the eight bosses. He heads there and finds himself in a pseudo-minigame where he must dodge and kill enemies over and over again on a single screen. After a few attempts, he gives up and return to the level select to attempt the stage of Dark Mantis. The stage proves to be a frustrating experience, filled with alarms that are hard to dodge and summon many enemies when set off. Rick fails several times throughout the stage, eventually reaching the boss with only one life left and very low health. He is defeated almost immediately, sending him back to the level select once more. | |ShortSummary = On the level select screen, Rick is interrupted by an "intermission" stage at Noah's Park, despite not having beaten any of the eight bosses. |ShortSummary = Rick enters Optic Sunflower's stage, which consists of a number of "minigames" where he must kill enemies in a certain amount of time. The speed at which they are killed determines the path taken through the level. After a shaky start, Rick manages to get to the "top" path, only to find an extremely difficult platforming section with spikes, which kills him three times, resulting in a game over. He upgrades some of his chips before heading straight back into the level and trying again. After several more failures, he manages to find his way to the end, where he encounters a secret boss fight against the 8-bit Cut Man. He defeats Cut Man and heads on to the real boss, Optic Sunflower. On his second attempt he manages to defeat him, finally completing one of the eight stages. | |ShortSummary = Rick enters Optic Sunflower's stage, which consists of a number of "minigames" where he must kill enemies in a certain amount of time. |ShortSummary = Rick heads to Avalanche Yeti's stage, finding it to consist of a long vehicle-based segment, which he dies numerous times trying to complete. Meanwhile, John and Lindsay talk about various mythologies and Thor: Ragnarok. Rick tries the vehicle segment over and over again, but finds himself unable to defeat the miniboss at the end of it. Eventually, he finally manages to destroy it, and reaches the end of the stage. He uses the attack Zero obtained from defeating Optic Sunflower to clear a path to a hidden Light Capsule, but realizes that he can't obtain it, as X is dead and he is unable to switch to him. He moves on and faces Avalanche Yeti, dying on his first attempt but narrowly defeating him on his second. | |ShortSummary = Rick heads to Avalanche Yeti's stage, finding it to consist of a long vehicle-based segment, which he dies numerous times trying to complete. |ShortSummary = After a brief debate over whether Rick did or didn't say the word "navligator" while attempting to explain something about the game, Rick heads into Burn Rooster's level. He plays through it, fighting through a number of difficult auto-scrolling segments and dying several times before managing to reach the boss. Luckily, he finds that Avalanche Yeti's weapon is strong against Burn Rooster, and defeats the boss fairly easily. To his surprise, he is then made to escape the level while the lava rises, in a reverse of the auto-scrolling segments from earlier in the stage. |ShortSummary = Rick begins Gigabolt Man-O-War's stage, a 3D vehicle level where the player must chase the boss and shoot him while flying through the city. He and John have a brief misunderstanding about the recording schedule for The Eye of Argon as Rick plays through the level. He fails to deal enough damage to the boss in time on the first two attempts, but manages to succeed on the third. This leads to the actual boss fight against Gigabolt Man-O-War, which Rick is able to narrowly defeat, although he is unable to use the double attack due to Zero being defeated near the end of the fight. He receives some oddly-named new weapons for his three characters, then moves on to a different stage. | |ShortSummary = Rick begins Gigabolt Man-O-War's stage, a 3D vehicle level where the player must chase the boss and shoot him while flying through the city. |ShortSummary = While John discusses an awkward sample he was asked to send in for a gut health check, Rick re-enters Avalanche Yeti's stage, with the intention of obtaining the armor that he couldn't access the first time around. He once again has trouble facing off against the miniboss in the stage, and dies multiple times before finally reaching the end. When he gets there, however, he discovers that he needs Zero to reach the platform in the first place, and must restart the level from the beginning. He does so, and manages to reach the end again with Zero and X. He melts the barrier blocking the path to the capsule, then switches to X and obtains the Neutral Armor and the Head Parts H. He immediately finds himself being chased by a large Mechaniloid, dodging its attacks throughout the area until he finds a way to damage it, causing it to turn around and walk backwards through the level. However, he is informed that it will self-destruct if it isn't defeated, and is forced to chase after it. Along the way, he obtains the Body Parts I from a Light capsule. He catches up to the Mechaniloid and defeats it, allowing him to enter the boss room. He struggles through the level once more, dying a few times, and is annoyed to find a path that appears to be Axl-only. He also comes across a Light capsule that gives him the Body Parts H. He reaches the boss and is almost killed, but manages to hang on with barely any health left and defeat it. After this, he decides to head straight back into the level to try and access the Axl-only path, but for some reason is still unable to proceed once he gets there. He experiments for a while, before deciding to give up and go to a different stage. | ||

+ | |ShortSummary = Rick enters Gravity Antonion's stage; a level which, as the name suggests, contains multiple gravity-altering segments. He gets through the first part of the stage without any trouble, but soon runs into an extremely difficult segment where he has to dodge instant-death spikes in a locked room. He tries and fails to get past the area multiple times, quickly becoming frustrated with it. Eventually, he finally manages to get past it and move into another area of the stage. Here, he figures out how to reach a secret area with a Light capsule that gives him the Head Parts I. Reaching the end of the stage, he faces Gravity Antonion in a boss battle and, after a close fight, defeats him.

+ | |ShortSummary = Only one level remains incomplete out of the eight: Bamboo Pandamonium's stage. Rick attempts it, trying to reach a Light capsule which requires him to keep a ride armor through a chunk of the level. After failing once, he manages to get the armor where he needs to on the second try, and uses it to reach a platform where the capsule is located. As a reward, he gets the Foot Parts I. He tries to keep the armor with him throughout the rest of the stage for an additional reward, but manages to get it stuck in a place where he can't continue with it. He gives up and heads to the end of the stage, narrowly defeating Bamboo Pandamonium in a boss fight.

+ | |ShortSummary = Having already played the next level but lost the game footage, Rick is forced to play it all over again. The level is set on the elevator to space, and is entirely focused around surviving waves of attacking enemies. He completes it, and enters the "Gateway" stage, which turns out to be the boss rush. Rick starts off by defeating Dark Mantis and Burn Rooster again, having a much easier time of it due to using their weaknesses. He has more trouble with Earthrock Trilobyte, due to forgetting his weakness, but manages to defeat him too nonetheless.

Next, he defeats Bamboo Pandamonium, then Gravity Antonion, and finally Optic Sunflower, all with relative ease, putting an end to the boss rush. The area begins to explode and he tries to return to the teleport, only to be attacked by Sigma, starting another boss fight. He makes surprisingly quick work of Sigma, who is then revealed to be a copy. Defeating him ends the stage, returning Rick to the level select.

Fairly soon into the level, Vile appears and attacks; Rick defeats him in a close battle, during which he uses both of his energy refills. He then moves on to the next area of the stage, which is filled with copies of Sigma as regular enemies. There are also a number of difficult, spike-filled platforming segments, which result in Rick dying an number of times. Eventually, he is able to get through to the end of the level, where he finally meets the real Sigma. The ensuing boss fight is far more difficult than the copy Sigma from earlier, but Rick comes extremely close to winning, dying with Sigma only a hit away from defeat.

+ | |ShortSummary = Rick is interrupted by another "intermission" stage, which he clears. He then buys some items and heads back to Sigma Palace, getting past the Vile fight and the difficult platforming sections in order to reach Sigma again. Rick narrowly defeats Sigma, expecting a second form, only for him to simply be destroyed. It is revealed that Sigma was merely a pawn in a plan by Lumine, the true villain. At this point, the episode begins to contain some re-recorded parts, due to what Rick refers to as a series of "video fuck-ups". In the boss fight against Lumine, Rick is able to defeat the first phase, but has trouble with the second one, dying several times to it and being forced to play the whole fight over again. After a few attempts, he manages to win the fight. He watches the game's final cutscenes and credits, while the group discuss Scientology. In a live-action scene, Rick and John discuss the abrupt ending of the Mega Man X series, and theorize on why Capcom abandoned it. Rick suggests they wanted to move on to something new, but that there is one more loose end for them to tie up before seeing it - Mega Man Zero 4.

1016 | 1 | "Where Does It End?" | 14:32 | John, Rick | Ben | 2 November 2017 |
In a live-action intro, Rick convinces John that X8 is an improvement over the previous entries in the series, explaining the game's plot and gameplay changes from X7.
1018 | 2 | "Press Select to Shut Her Up" | 19:01 | John | Rick, Ben | 3 November 2017 |
John takes another attempt at the intro stage from the beginning, using a better controller than before.
1019 | 3 | "Sad Panda" | 21:29 | Rick | John, Ben | 13 November 2017 |
The group reveal that offscreen, John had played through some of Bamboo Pandamonium's stage, but died several times, and that the footage was lost.
1020 | 4 | "I Can't Climb That Wall" | 18:49 | Rick | John, Ben | 14 November 2017 |
On the level select screen, Rick is interrupted by an "intermission" stage at Noah's Park, despite not having beaten any of the eight bosses.
1022 | 5 | "They Just Did" | 25:40 | Rick | John, Ben | 15 November 2017 |
Rick enters Optic Sunflower's stage, which consists of a number of "minigames" where he must kill enemies in a certain amount of time.
1023 | 6 | "Murder Is Correct, Better Fuck a Horse" | 24:59 | Rick | John, Ben, Lindsay | 16 November 2017 |
Rick heads to Avalanche Yeti's stage, finding it to consist of a long vehicle-based segment, which he dies numerous times trying to complete.
1024 | 7 | "I Don't Know Much" | 17:18 | Rick | John, Ben, Lindsay | 17 November 2017 |
After a brief debate over whether Rick did or didn't say the word "navligator" while attempting to explain something about the game, Rick heads into Burn Rooster's level. He is able to reach the end, completing the level.
1028 | 8 | "Melt Creeper, Thunder Dancer" | 15:39 | Rick | John, Ben, Lindsay | 20 November 2017 |
Rick begins Gigabolt Man-O-War's stage, a 3D vehicle level where the player must chase the boss and shoot him while flying through the city.
1029 | 9 | "I Don't Have Time for Your Shit" | 22:17 | Rick | John, Ben | 21 November 2017 |
While John discusses an awkward sample he was asked to send in for a gut health check, Rick re-enters Avalanche Yeti's stage, with the intention of obtaining the armor that he couldn't access the first time around. He heads back to the level select, as Ian and Heather arrive.
1030 | 10 | "That's a Stupid Design" | 14:48 | Rick | Sarah | 22 November 2017 |
Rick enters Earthrock Trilobyte's stage. The boss narrowly defeats him on his first attempt, but he is far more successful the next time around, defeating Earthrock Trilobyte and completing the stage.
1031 | 11 | "Vigorouser Humping" | 19:11 | Rick | Sarah | 23 November 2017 |
Rick heads back to one of the levels he failed to complete earlier on in the game, Dark Mantis.
1032 | 12 | "Anytime I Fuck It" | 24:31 | Rick | Sarah | 24 November 2017 |
Rick enters Gravity Antonion's stage; a level which, as the name suggests, contains multiple gravity-altering segments.
1033 | 13 | "Listen to Me!" | 17:39 | Rick | Sarah | 25 November 2017 |
Only one level remains incomplete out of the eight: Bamboo Pandamonium's stage.
1034 | 14 | "You Go Up" | 14:53 | Rick | John, Lindsay | 26 November 2017 |
Having already played the next level but lost the game footage, Rick is forced to play it all over again.
1035 | 15 | "That Animal Is Weak to Blades" | 13:24 | Rick | John, Lindsay | 2 December 2017 |
Rick continues the boss refights, taking down Avalanche Yeti in a close fight, then Gigabolt Man-O-War.
1036 | 16 | "Get Glangry" | 17:40 | Rick | John | 3 December 2017 |
Rick heads to Sigma Palace, a stage set on the moon.
1037 | 17 | "X, It Wasn't Sigma Again" | 41:57 | Rick | John, Ben, Lindsay | 4 December 2017 |
Rick is interrupted by another "intermission" stage, which he clears. |
